ADULT SWIM EVERY SUNDAY

If you long for 60 minutes of peace and quiet at the pool, we have the answer. Every Sunday from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., the pool is open to adults only to enjoy a quiet swim! If you’d like to enjoy the moment bring your own coffee and book, Kindle, newspaper and simply relax poolside for a full hour before the pool opens for all!

RICARDO’S LUNCH BAR

This fun al fresco dining experience is available every Tuesday and Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and weekend 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (subject to volunteer staffing). If the lights are one, and someone is inside, feel free to inquire about cuisine available for purchase.

Help is still needed to keep this delightful lunch bar operating! Consider donating a few hours of your time to support the pool – and bring big smiles to so many kids (big and little) faces!!!

SWIM TEAM ALUMNI EVENT

Friday, July 19th at 6:00 pm

Calling all Barracuda Alumni: The Swim team would love all Alumni to come on out, help the team with traditional cheers and maybe participate in a fun relay or swim event! What a great way to come together and celebrate a fantastic Barracuda tradition. Spread the word – and if any Barracuda alumni would like to come who are not members of the pool, have them contact Maria Ferrante or just come to the front desk that evening and we will have guest passes available!

DIVISIONAL SWIM MEET – POOL CLOSED TO SWIMMING THIS SATURDAY UNTIL 2 PM

This Saturday, July 20, our pool will host the Northern Virginia Swim League Division 17 – Divisional Meet! Come on out and support our Broyhill Crest Barracudas – and grab a bite from our concession stand at Kathy’s Korner. The team would love to hear your cheers as they compete for the top times in the Division.

The pool will remain closed to swimming until the meet ends – we hope to have the pool open for all around 2 PM.

ONE RULE A WEEK

Did you know there are rules regarding the diving well?

• Only one person on the diving board ladder or diving board at one time.
• Do not dive until the previous diver has reached the ladder or cleared the diving area.
• Dive only straight out from the board. (Diving or jumping toward the sides of the pool is prohibited). Horseplay or excessive bouncing on the diving boards is prohibited.
• No general swimming in the diving board area except when approved by lifeguards.
• Swimmers unable to pass a swim test consisting of competently swimming a minimum of one full length of the pool without stopping and treading water continuously for at least one minute may not use the diving board.
• No diving with goggles, flotation devices, or onto flotation devices.

All rules are designed to keep everyone safe! Lifeguards are on duty to ensure the safety of all. They have a hard job and a lot of responsibility to keep you and your kids safe. They have the authority to stop any behavior they deem unsafe. Please respect their authority and thank them for all they do to keep our pool safe and super cool!
