FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY – 31 August
Come enjoy the LAST Food Truck of the season – Red Hook Lobster Truck. All kinds of delicious dishes served either Maine style or Connecticut style. If you enjoyed them at the beginning of the season, come back for more! If you heard about them and want to try – they are back! Serving food from 5pm-8pm (but remember they did sell out last time)!
Open to all members of the community.
HAPPY HOUR – 31 August
Last chance to hang with friends – new and old. Come to Kathy’s Korner, and enjoy your beverage of choice (just no glass containers please), watch the sunset and enjoy our Neighborhood Back Yard. Any time from 6pm.
END OF SEASON PICNIC – Saturday 1 September
Don’t bother cooking dinner – come and enjoy the last summer picnic at the pool.
Hamburgers, hotdogs, sides, and surprises available for purchase!
Picnic starts at 5pm (rain date Sunday at 5pm, 2nd raindate Monday at 2pm).
Bargain prices and unusual items (e.g. hamburgers on hot dog buns) as we empty the fridge and freezer of food items.
It’s fun and very affordable!
LAST DAY OF POOL – Monday 3 September
Pool will be open 11am-6pm on Monday. Last whistle will blow and 6pm, so everyone can get home in a timely manner for work and school commitments! But…before you leave – CHECK LOST AND FOUND outside the Guards Office. Anything left in the baskets will be thrown out or donated. Several pairs of shoes and flip flops, plus several single footwear items! Goggles, masks, tee-shirts, towels – just take a look, you may be surprised!
DOG SWIM – Monday 3 September – 6.15pm-8.15pm
You and your dog(s) are invited to the Dog Swim after the pool closes for the two-legged animals! Enter through the gates by the pavilion. Cost is $5 per dog, and there is just a little paperwork to fill out before your dogs are free to jump into the pool to cool off. Two-legged animals are NOT allowed in the pool with their dogs. There will be dog-loving, trained life guards in the water to assist animals in need.
POST SEASON WORK DAY – Saturday 8 September – 9am-1pm
Perhaps you did not fulfill you volunteer hours commitment? Or perhaps you just like helping out for the good of the cause! Last work day and we need help. Just muscle and (wo)manpower! Stacking chairs, covering playground equipment, cleaning out the shed, stacking tables in the pavilion. Bring gloves and elbow grease. Someone will be there to tell you what needs doing, and often this is completed early. Please come and help winterize the pool deck and grounds.
Rain date is Sunday 9 September, same time.
